supplies:
1 Kraft Mayo jar: 3lbs. 5 oz.
3" terra cotta tray (to put candle on)
1/4" check stencil
1" and 2" foam brushes
Fabric strip aprox. 2" wide by 10" long
Any brand Spray paint, a light color

Jar preparation:
Remove all labels from the jars. To do this soak the jars in warm soapy dishwater for about 20 min. or until the label comes off easily.
Rinse with hot water. Turn upside down to drain. Wipe dry with a dish towel.
Place jar on a lazy susan or something like that so you can turn the jar easily.
Spray bottle with  spray paint. Let dry inbetween coats.  Spray bottle until you can't see through it
any longer. Let dry, now you are ready to basecoat your jar in Acrylic paint.

Step by step painting instructons:
Basecoat the whole  jar with Buttermilk.
Basecoat the rim of jar  and terra cotta tray with Burnt Sienna.

Turkev body: base with Sable brown.
Shade edges of body, under scarf, around star and edges of the head with dark chocolate.
Turkey waddle on side of nose and under chin, base with Rookwood Red.
Shade one side of nose waddle with Black Plum. Highlight the other side with Hot shots fiery red.
Shade across top of waddle, underneath the chin with Black Plum. Highlight bottom edge of waddle with hot shots fiery red.

Napkin around turkey's neck: base with Limeade. Add lines with Light Avocado.
Shade bottom side and at tie, down under chin with Light Avocado.
Eyes: outline with black. Fill in eye sockets with white. Add black pupils.
Glasses: float bottom with grey sky, then float top with grey sky as well.
You may need to go over the eyes to make them show up.
If you want, you can outline the glasses with black or leave them un-outlined. I did it both ways.
Star: base with Marigold. Shade edges with Burnt Orange.
Paint the #1 with black.

Tail feathers: feather behind the turkey's head base with Burnt Orange.
The 1st and 4th feather base with Burnt Sienna.
Add curly q's and dots with Marigold.
2nd and 5th feathers base with Marigold. Shade top sides with Burnt Orange. Add dots with Burnt Orange.
hair: using a liner brush stroke in with Moon Yellow and Rookwood Red.

"Turkey day"  line in with Dark Chocolate.

Checks: stencil 2 rows on the bottom of the jar with Burnt Orange. Shade tops of checks with Rookwood Red.
I stenciled the checks across the turkey body as well.
In-between the checks I floated a line of Dark Chocolate across the top, only on the turkey body, inbetween
the checks.

Float Dark Chocolate all around the outside of the turkey and under rim of jar.
Float the Dark Chocolate at the bottom of the jar as well.

To finish:
Using a 1" or 2" foam brush, apply the Delta-Perm enamel, Clear Gloss Glaze to the entire jar,
including the terra cotta tray. Let dry.
Fold fabric strip in half and tie around the rim, to the side of the jar.
Apply some hot glue to secure the fabric in place. Add candle.
